HR Hound Interview and Selection

When we visit businesses to help them with interview and selection this is what we often find:

  • A pile of CVs that look promising
  • 8-10 interviews minimum arranged per day with a minimum of 40 interviews for one role
  • 4 or 5 prepared questions only which require fixed (yes or no) answers
  • 1 or 2 people doing the interviewing
  • No clear or an unclear job description

The above list is going to burn time, money and is unlikely to leave you with a good hire. Such a process requires decisions to be made on the day in real time, based often on subjective criteria, you might get lucky and get a great hire from the process but it’s a matter of luck not planning and it can be a lot easier with us.

We help you in the following ways:

  • Assisting you with choosing your in-house selection team or providing this for you from our own recruitment experts
  • Drafting all the selection criteria, testing questions and how each person being interviewed gets the same fair chance at interview through a winning process we develop around the needs of your business
  • Developing a process for your business so you hire the right people and only interview face to face the right people who have been pre selected both on CV and via phone or on line testing methods for your needs and requirements
  • We write the selection and interview questions for you so you are clear how each question and answer fits into your selection process and provides you with legal certainty that each interview is not discriminatory, unfair and the same process is adopted with each person interviewed
  • We use a scorecard so each person is scored post interview against each indicator of suitability and turn a subjective process into an objective one where business decisions can be made and rejections are based on fair application of the same criteria and questions to each candidate
