LH built an entirely new business model to suit small businesses. Its’ founders left traditional legal practice to run a new model of business law services.
LH is a small business offering help to the small business owners out there – makes sense to us to focus on businesses with fewer than 20 employees and a turnover of less than £6M PA. That’s our sort of business and the model we have built ourselves as well as running and advising others. The sorts of businesses that the owners run and are still hands on in some or many areas!
We work online
We have a small team – 5 of us. We only work online, you order online and the service is delivered online. We don’t work in any other way.
Our clients want to be able to ask a question via email or text and get a video or email back with the answers. They want to know what is going to take their business down, bite them hard, or just be ‘nice’ to have in place – they want hard core risk management which is action orientated.
Straight talking
Theory doesn’t work in business. You need more than just legal answers. Focus on the solid practical stuff which protects your business. Sometimes the legal area you need sorting is small. The main event is actually an eCommerce, marketing, franchising or people and communication challenge. We get them and can chat to you about what you need to focus on as well as what legal stuff you need in place or to address right now.

You didn’t want to pay by the hour so we changed it – you buy a fixed price service from us. You work online and via your mobile/smart phone – so do we. You don’t like waiting for your answers to your questions so we designed everything so you don’t have to.
On demand law
Is agile and flexible so our online document portal is open all hours, just like your business. Our service team works remotely and via online comms. You can text us, connect with us on Twitter, Facebook or the team directly on LinkedIn. We work like you do.

We work online only, and offer help online only.
Our Team
Currently there are 5 members in the Law Hound business team with 3 on admin and IT support. We are a small business just like yours. Some of our team work part time. Our IT team is based in London and Lahore, our lawyers in the UK. Giving people choice over their hours means we get the best and keep them. We did this well before Covid and working from home became the norm, we have been working at home since 2000!
Our running costs are lower
All of the services are carried out online. We do not run offices. The savings are passed to you.
All of our people have their own home offices and join us via our online network to work for you – we have invested in infrastructure not bricks to bring you our services. We don’t have the costs associated with the regulation of running a solicitors’ or traditional consulting practice.
We haven’t had to build in the costs of any of the traditional and now outmoded models of offering consultancy, so can stay competitive on cost, and more importantly, we invest a significant sum each year on IT to help us become even more efficient. We love IT and pushing it to do more.
